2025 FitLit Kids Camps
Our mission at FitLit Kids is to provide high-quality educational programs and events that are focused on Fitness and Literacy... and sometimes both at the same time!
We apply these same principles to our sporty, fun camps, as we offer both a Playball SportsPlus camp and a Reading Giraffe.

Playball SportsPlus Camps
Summer camp is a time for running, jumping, throwing, kicking, catching, and, mostly, FUN! Toss in a healthy dose of castles and dragons, bats and rats, French fries and cookies, and race cars and flying saucers and you get the Playball SportsPlus Camp. With over 30 years of experience running classes and camps for children around the world, our proven approach provides a creative, sporty experience for BOYS and GIRLS of all athletic abilities.
Campers are introduced to a variety of sports each week, learning fundamental skills for football, basketball, baseball, kickball, soccer, and volleyball. The emphasis is on FUN, with plenty of high-energy games tossed into the mix. As with any Playball program, we stress life skills such as sportsmanship and teamwork while providing a low-pressure environment that encourages all campers to join in the fun. And our camps are headed by experienced Playball Coaches who work with children throughout the year.

Reading Giraffe Camps
As an author, educator, and Dad, I know children naturally like to read. But they LOVE to read when stories come to life! So I created Reading Giraffe to be the place where books run wild! It utilizes The Whole Book Approach from The Eric Carle Museum to create an INTERACTIVE, SHARED reading experience that turn picture books into tools of learning! Our themed daily lessons include some of the most creative and engaging children’s stories, from the classics to wonderful present-day reads to my own titles.
But turning pages is just the beginning, as we lead interactive read-alongs, where we read with, not to, campers, encouraging them to ask questions about themes and plots. We promote participation in each book and include spelling exercises, vocabulary words, creative projects, mini-plays, nature walk-n-reads, and fun games, all based on the storylines and characters we read about.
